IKA GUARD
Draw an ink line and keep Chibi Squid safe for 10 seconds!

IKA GUARD is a drawing puzzle where you protect Chibi Squid with a single ink line drawn by your finger. Once you finish drawing, the line becomes a solid object and drops with real weight, and then shady squids in sunglasses come pouring out of the shells. Figure out a shape that will hold, draw it, and survive 10 seconds to clear the stage!
Guard your squid through all 100 stages and you're at IQ 150!
How to play
- Trace across the screen with your finger to draw an ink line. When you lift your finger, the line is done and drops straight down. You get just one line per stage.
- Your ink is limited. When the ink gauge runs out, the line can't get any longer, so draw without wasting ink.
- You can't draw inside the ground, right next to Chibi Squid, or around the shells. Work around those spots and plan a shape that wraps around your squid.
- After the line lands, the shady squids swim toward the nearest Chibi Squid. If nothing touches it for 10 seconds, you clear the stage!
- If a shady squid reaches Chibi Squid, it touches a sea urchin, or it falls off the screen, the stage is lost. Change the shape of your line and try again!
Features
- 100 stages in all. You start on flat ground, and the terrain and gimmicks get trickier as you go.
- Your line has real weight: it can tilt, tip over or roll. Thinking about how it will move after it lands is half the fun!
- Lots of gimmicks: sea urchins that knock you out on contact, sea currents that push both your line and the enemies, bubbles you can't draw in, narrow pillars, and big shells that release lots of enemies.
- Some stages have two or even three Chibi Squids. Guard them all at once!
- Fail the same stage three times and a faint hint line appears, so you're never stuck for long.
Tips
- First, check where the shells are. The basic idea is to block the directions the enemies will come from.
- Your line keeps moving until it settles. An upside-down bowl shape tends to sit snugly over Chibi Squid and stay put.
- Near sea urchins, leave a little space so the falling line doesn't shove Chibi Squid into them.
- On current stages, both your line and the enemies drift. Predict which way they'll move and draw a shape that still protects even after it shifts.
Who it’s for
Great for anyone who likes doodling, or who enjoys testing ideas with "what happens if I try this?" Each stage is short, so it's perfect for a quick break.
