A birdie means Golf IQ 120, and an eagle means IQ 140!

How to play IKA GOLF

  1. Swipe the screen left or right to aim, then press SHOT!
  2. On the bar at the bottom, the ▼ marker moves right. Tap wherever you like to set the power (how far the ball flies).
  3. When ▼ comes back, tap on the Impact line at the left. The closer you are, the straighter the shot; miss it and the ball curves left or right.
  4. You have 5 clubs: Driver, 5 Iron, 9 Iron, Sand Wedge and Putter. One is picked for you, and you can tap the bottom right to switch.
  5. Hole out in as few strokes as you can. Water costs a 1-stroke penalty and a replay. The first miss on each hole is free.

How the game goes

At first you can play two courses, Squid Woods and Gull Cape. Clear both and the rest open one after another: Babbling Valley, Cactus Desert, Frozen Snowfield, Fire Volcano Isle and finally the Moon Craters. Each course adds its own twists on top of wind, ponds and bunkers, like frozen ponds where the ball slides and lava that costs you a penalty stroke. On the Moon, low gravity sends the ball flying much farther than usual.

IKA GOLF tips

Who it’s for

You don't need to know golf; timing your taps is all it takes. A great pick for fans of retro pixel art and anyone who enjoys a little virtual travel.

FAQ

Q. Can I play if I don't know much about golf?

Sure. The club is picked for you, and all you do is aim and tap twice. No tricky rules to learn.

Q. What happens if my ball lands in water?

You take a one-stroke penalty and hit again. But your first miss on each hole is forgiven, so just relax and swing.

Q. Can I stop in the middle of a course?

Yes. Your progress is saved automatically in this browser, and "Continue" takes you back to the hole you were on. Clearing your browser data will erase it.
