IKA TURF is a territory action game where you steer Chibi Squid to draw lines and claim every area you fence in. Deciding how far to push out while dodging the sea snakes is a real thrill. There's also Turf mode, a one-minute battle where you fight computer-controlled squids for territory.
How to play
- Chibi Squid moves in the direction you swipe, and a tap makes it stop. You can also turn on an on-screen D-pad in Settings.
- Leave your turf and you draw a yellow line across the open area. Get back to your turf and everything you fenced in becomes yours.
- While you're drawing, if a sea snake or its fire touches your line or Chibi Squid, it's a miss and the stage starts over. Going back the way you came reels your line back in.
- Fill your turf up to the target percentage to clear the stage. The target slowly rises as you go further.
- In Turf mode, Chibi Squid never stops moving — swipe to change direction. Run over a rival's line to knock them out, but if someone crosses yours, you're out!
Features
- In the main mode, Easy, Normal and Hard each have 100 stages. Clear 50 stages of one difficulty to open the next.
- A giant sea snake boss shows up every 10 stages! Later on, snakes start to dash and breathe fire, sea urchins roll across your turf, and you may face two snakes at once.
- When you close off an area, colorful rings spread out from where your line connected. If the outermost ring hits a sea snake, it's stunned for 2 seconds.
- Turf mode has 50 levels. Battle 3 computer squids (4 from level 30) for territory in one minute — finish in 1st place to clear!
- Each stage has 3 stars to earn, for things like painting well past the target or knocking out rivals in Turf mode.
Tips
- Don't get greedy with huge loops — lots of small enclosures are safer. Only head out far when the snakes are on the other side.
- Enclosing again and again makes the rings bigger. Once a ring stuns a snake, that's your chance to grab a big area!
- When a "!" appears, a snake is about to dash or breathe fire. Hurry back to your turf, or retrace your path to reel your line in.
- In Turf mode, your own line is your weak spot. When rivals are close, keep your line short and head home early.
Who it’s for
Great for players who want a bit of thrill and action, or who prefer moving and dodging to quiet puzzles. Turf mode is perfect if you're in the mood for a head-to-head battle.
