IKA GUARD is a drawing puzzle where you protect Chibi Squid with a single ink line drawn by your finger. Once you finish drawing, the line becomes a solid object and drops with real weight, and then shady squids in sunglasses come pouring out of the shells. Figure out a shape that will hold, draw it, and survive 10 seconds to clear the stage!

Guard your squid through all 100 stages and you're at IQ 150!

How to play IKA GUARD

  1. Trace across the screen with your finger to draw an ink line. When you lift your finger, the line is done and drops straight down. You get just one line per stage.
  2. Your ink is limited. When the ink gauge runs out, the line can't get any longer, so draw without wasting ink.
  3. You can't draw inside the ground, right next to Chibi Squid, or around the shells. Work around those spots and plan a shape that wraps around your squid.
  4. After the line lands, the shady squids swim toward the nearest Chibi Squid. If nothing touches it for 10 seconds, you clear the stage!
  5. If a shady squid reaches Chibi Squid, it touches a sea urchin, or it falls off the screen, the stage is lost. Change the shape of your line and try again!

Features

How the game goes

The first stages have flat ground and a single shell, so you can learn how lines fall and settle. Then things get trickier: bumpy terrain, Mini Squids perched on narrow pillars, sea urchins that end the stage on touch, bubbles you can't draw in, and currents that push both your line and the enemies. Later stages have two or even three Mini Squids to protect at once, plus big shells that release lots of enemies.

IKA GUARD tips

Who it’s for

Great for anyone who likes doodling, or who enjoys testing ideas with "what happens if I try this?" Each stage is short, so it's perfect for a quick break.

FAQ

Q. What happens if I fail?

You can retry the same stage as many times as you like. Change the shape of your line and give it another go.

Q. What if I just can't clear a stage?

Fail the same stage three times and a faint example line appears. Trace something close to it and protecting your Mini Squid gets much easier.

Q. Is my progress saved?

Yes, it's saved automatically in this browser. Clearing your browser data will erase it.
