IKA TRAIN is a 3D racing game where you drive a squid-shaped train around Tokyo's Yamanote Line. Switch left and right across four parallel tracks and battle three rival trains for first place. The station names and the distances between stations match the real line. Chain rainbow dash pads and feel the thrill of going faster and faster!
Finish in 1st place and you're an IQ 120 driver!
How to play
- Your train moves forward on its own. Swipe left or right, or tap the left or right side of the screen, to switch to the next track. On a computer, the arrow keys work too.
- You can't switch onto a track where a train is right beside you. If the train ahead blocks you, you're stuck following it, so change tracks early.
- Hit a rainbow dash pad for an instant burst of speed! Hit another one while dashing to go up a level, all the way to level 10, MAX DASH.
- Crash into a rainbow boost train for a huge explosion and jump up 5 dash levels! Even a light sideswipe counts.
- You move on to the next stage whatever place you finish in. 1st earns 🥇, 2nd 🥈 and 3rd 🥉, so aim for gold everywhere!
Features
- 15 stages in all. Stages 1–10 take you all the way around the Yamanote Line from Shinjuku, and stages 11–15 join neighboring sections into longer courses.
- Win 🥇 on all 15 stages to unlock Yamanote Loop mode: race all 30 stations and 34.5 km in one go and earn a title based on your time.
- Only boost trains can push you past the normal limit, up to level 15. At level 15, GOD DASH, you can knock nearby rivals out of the race.
- Take out all three rivals for TOTAL DESTRUCTION! You start at 1000 km/h and can chase a top-speed record of up to 2000 km/h.
- Watch for elevated sections: only the two right-hand tracks go up, and you can't switch between them and the ground tracks until it ends.
Tips
- A dash lasts 1.6 seconds, then drops 5 levels. Hit the next pad before it runs out to keep your levels climbing.
- When dash pads are lined up diagonally, hop across the tracks to hit them one after another.
- When you see a boost train, go out of your way to crash into it. Rivals dodge them, so only you can grab that +5 boost!
- Get onto the track you want before an elevated section starts, because you can't switch to or from the ground tracks inside it.
